Take Effective Measures to Fight COVID-19

Staying aware of COVID-19, the pandemic being faced by not only the UK but many countries globally, is the need of the hour. From partial lockdown in all industries to complete restriction in the form of nationwide lockdown, a wide range of measures are being taken by all the affected nations. It’s extremely important to follow the guidelines laid out by the WHO and your national and local public health authorities.

Wash Your Hands Frequently

Cleaning your hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based rub kills the virus that may be on your hands, palm or other skin surfaces. Do this regularly and thoroughly in the prescribed manner and duration advised by medical authorities.

Maintain Social Distancing

Remember that your hands potentially touch many surfaces from where they can certainly pick up viruses. Practice Respiratory Hygiene

Following good respiratory hygiene can do wonders in this time of fighting theglobal pandemic. An infected person should covertheir mouth and nose with a bent elbow or a tissue when they cough or sneeze, especially if they are in front of other people. Ensure to dispose of the used tissue immediately into the garbage bin. Practicinggood respiratory hygiene can protect the people around you from getting affected by the virus, whether its COVID-19, flu or just acommon cold.

When to Approach Medical Help?

As per the World Health Organization (WHO), COVID-19 symptoms generally include fever, dry cough, difficulty in breathing, tiredness, aches, and pains, nasal congestion, sore throat, runny nose or diarrhea. Although these symptoms begin to appear within 14 days of getting infected, and are usually mild and begin gradually, some people become infected but do not develop any symptoms and don’t feel unwell either.
